MILWAUKEE-Family and friends gathered Tuesday night, holding candles and praying for answers as to the whereabouts of 22 year old Evon Young.

The rap artist was last seen by his roommate leaving their place near 52nd and Custer around 10 p.m. on New Year's.

Young didn't say where he was going. But he didn't show up for work the next day. He hasn't called anyone, and when they call him, it goes straight to voice mail.

"It's just been crazy," roommate and record label partner Billy Griffin tells CBS 58 News, "nobody's heard from him since January first. It's very unlikely for him to do something like this."

They are organizing a foot search of the neighborhood this upcoming Saturday starting at 3 p.m.

"I'm asking people to come here so we can begin looking for my son," Annette Perry said while fighting back tears, "I would appreciate any help that anybody can give."

Tipsters can also call Milwaukee Police at (414) 933-4444.
