FBI talks rash of credit union robberies
MILWAUKEE---The FBI is investigating a rash of credit union robberies that have happened up and down Southeastern Wisconsin.
So far seven credit unions and one bank have been hit.
The bureau says the suspects often work together, but there have been cases where they are acting individually.
So far, no one has been hurt in any of the robberies.
However, in every case the suspects do have weapons.
The following robberies have occurred at several local financial institutions:
On October 18, 2012, Educators Credit Union at 7139 N. Port Washington Rd. in Glendale, WI
On October 22, 2012, Landmark Credit Union at 6219 Washington Ave. in Mt. Pleasant, WI
On October 23, 2012, Landmark Credit Union at 1931 Grove Avenue in Racine, WI
On November 5, 2012, TruStone Financial at 2707 30th Ave. in Kenosha, WI
On November 6, 2012, Landmark Credit Union at 1931 Grove Avenue in Racine, WI (2nd occurrence)
On November 13, 2012, North Shore Bank at 6906 Green Bay Road in Kenosha, WI
On November 16, 2012, Landmark Credit located at 3600 N. 124th Ave. in Wauwatosa, WI
On November 20, 2012, Southern Lakes Credit Union at 5001 60th Street in Kenosha WI.
The Landmark Credit Union is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the robbery suspects.
