FAA could make airport control tower decision Friday

MILWAUKEE -- The Federal Aviation Administration could release a list on Friday of airport towers that will be shut down in Wisconsin.

The cuts would happen because of sweeping budget cuts in Washington.

Towers at eight regional airports including Waukesha, Kenosha and Milwaukee's Timmerman Airport would be shut down on April 7th unless the battle over federal spending cuts can be resolved.

The tower at Mitchell International Airport is also scheduled to go dark, but only during the overnight hours.
