Extra OWI enforcement for Super Bowl Sunday

MILWAUKEE --- The Sheriff's Department extended its Operation Driver Sober efforts into Sunday evening for the Super Bowl game.

There are additional squads out for Operation Drive Sober every weekend, however the extra patrols stuck around for the big game Sunday to try and help keep people safe on the roads.

A spokesperson for the Sheriff's Department released the following statement in regards to Sunday night drivers, "The message to drive sober applies to every day, not just for special events."

The spokesperson also told CBS 58 there are triple the number of squads out Sunday night than on a normal night.
