Early morning fire damages home

MILWAUKEE---A fire broke out just before 8:00 a.m. Friday.

It was a four family apartment building in the 5400 block of N. 83rd Ave.

Three occupants were in the residence when the fire started.

Everyone was able to get out safely, due to early detection from smoke alarms.

The fire started in one of the bedrooms.

Firefighters were able to get the fire under control within an hour.

There was $20,000 in damages to the building.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
