Drunk driver crashes truck into home

FOND DU LAC—Authorities responded after a truck crashes into a house in Fond du Lac.
 

The Fond du Lac Police Department and the Fond du Lac fire department was called to the area of Breister Ave and Marshall Ave around 8:15 p.m. Saturday.
 

When they arrived on scene they saw a 34-year-old male standing beside a 1997 Jeep Cherokee.
 

The man was bleeding from the head; both air bags had been deployed and the vehicle had significant front end damage.
 

Officers learned that the vehicle was on Breister Ave when it failed to negotiate a left turn at the intersection of Marshall.
 

It hopped the curb and hit the corner of a house in the 500 block of Marshall Ave.
 

The house received significant damage to the foundation and a bedroom.
 

Two people were home at the time, but were in a different part of the home and were not injured.
 

The 34-year-old male suspect was arrested for OWI.
 

He was the sole occupant of his vehicle.
 

He was taken to St. Agnes Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
