WALWORTH COUNTY-- A 26-year-old Whitewater man suspected of drunk driving is in jail following a two-car crash Saturday evening that injured four people.

The Walworth county Sheriff Department and Whitewater Police Department responded to the crash on Highway 12 and County Truck Highway N in Whitewater around 8:14 p.m.

Jeremy Coldberg was driving a 1996 Jeep Cherokee when he turned left into oncoming traffic that had the right of way.

Coldberg's car hit a 2008 Subaru minivan being driven by 73-year-old Felix Yavnoshan of Palatine, IL.

The passengers in the minivan were 73-year-old Yelena Yavnoshan of Palatine and 50-year-old Igor Yavnoshan and 46-year-old Olga Yavnoshan both of Wheeling, IL.

All of the people in the minivan were trapped and required extrication by the Whitewater Fire Department.

They all suffered broken bones and/or critical internal injuries.

Felix Yavnoshan was taken by flight for life to a Madison area hospital.

The other passengers are in hospitals in Madison, Fort Atkinson and Janesville.

There is no update on their current conditions at this time.

The Walworth County Sheriff Department is recommending that the District Attorney charge Coldberg with OWI-3rd offense, four counts of causing great bodily harm while intoxicated, open intoxicants in a motor vehicle, inattentive driving and failure to yield right of way while making a left turn.

The Department of Corrections has placed a hold on Colbert because he was on parole for a prior drug conviction.
