Driver sought after crash with motorcyclist in Washington Co.

WEST BEND—The Washington County Sheriff’s Department is asking for help from the public to locate a driver that reportedly caused a motorcyclist to crash and injury himself.
 

Deputies were called to the scene of the crash in the area of Highway 45 and Park Ave shortly before 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
 

When officials arrived they found a 29-year-old motorcyclist from West Bend laying in the grassy median.
 

The man had been ejected from his motorcycle. He was wearing a helmet.
 

The motorcyclist said that he was traveling northbound on Highway 45 when a mid-sized blue car transitioned into his lane.
 

To avoid hitting the car the motorcyclist took evasive action and subsequently crashed.
 

The motorcyclist was taken by West Bend Rescue to Froedtert Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
 

The accident remains under investigation.
 

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public to identify the driver of the blue car.
 

Any witnesses to the crash are asked to contact the Sheriff’s Department at 262-335-4420.
