MILWAUKEE --- Police say a foot chase ensued after shots were fired in the area of Martin Luther King Dr. and Wright St.

Officers were looking for suspects after reports of shots fired Thursday afternoon.

Police were able to identify a suspect, who took off running.

Residents later described how police tracked the 17-year-old down and found him hiding in a dumpster.

Police also recovered a 22 caliber sawed off shotgun.

Tamy Burnett who lives nearby told CBS 58, "I'm glad they found him and I didn't."
