Domestic disturbance leads to stand off in West Allis

WEST ALLIS-- A call for a domestic disturbance leads to a stand off in a West Allis neighborhood.

Police received a report of a domestic disturbance that involved a male with a firearm at a home near 94th and Mitchell around 8:00 p.m. Saturday.

Officers secured the area around the home. A lone male adult remained inside.

Police began negotiations with the 47-year-old man who eventually exited the home and was taken into custody.

He received minor injuries while being taken into custody. He was treated at a local hospital and released back into police custody.

No officers or other individuals were injured during the incident.

The matter will be reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office who will make a decision on charges.
