MILWAUKEE -- There are indications the special prosecutor in the Derek Williams inquest may offer two police officers immunity in exchange for their testimony. This move could tip the scales in how the jury views the circumstances surrounding Williams' death. Special Prosecutor John Franke did not name the officer he would like the judge to order to testify.

Both officers would likely be the last people to testify in the inquest. The Williams' family attorney John Safran says hearing from the officers could benefit the family's case. They want police to be held accountable for the death of Williams.

Three law enforcement officials and one witness took the stand during the sixth day of the Williams inquest.

Once the inquest wraps up, the jury will give and advisory verdict regarding whether or not criminal charges should be filed against Milwaukee Police Officers.
