Defense teams turn the heat up on each other
SHEBOYGAN COUNTY— A judge ruled that two teens will be bound over for trial Tuesday afternoon. The homicide case against Antonio Barbeau and Nathan Paape, both 13, will move forward.
A preliminary hearing was held for Barbeau and Paape. They are accused of killing Barbeau’s great-grandmother, Barbara Olson, at her Sheboygan Falls home on September 17th. Investigators said the teens stole Olson’s money, jewelry, and car, and then went for pizza. A Sheboygan Falls Police lieutenant, and two investigators from the Wisconsin Department of Justice testified at the hearing. The defense teams seemed to turn on each other, with the boys placing more of the blame on each other. The next court date for the case is scheduled for November 2nd. Defense attorneys are expected to push for the case to move to juvenile court. The boys are being charged with homicide as adults. They are both in jail on bonds of $1,000,000. |
