Death investigation at mental health facility

MILWAUKEE---Milwaukee County sheriff's deputies responded to the Milwaukee County Mental Health Complex Saturday morning for a man in distress.

Police were told that staff began perfroming live-saving procedures on a patient around 9:30 a.m.

CPR was performed on the 25-year-old patient when police and fire personnel.

Medical personnel pronounced his time of death at 10:04 a.m.

Detectives are assisting with the investigation, as is standard procedure for deaths at the county complex.

The cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner's office.

This was the fifth death at the County Mental Health Complex this year, the ninth since 2010.
