CEDARBURG -- A body has been pulled from Cedar Creek in Cedarburg. Crews began their search  after receiving a tip regarding Robert Steinbrecker, 24, who went missing on December 28th.

Police confirmed Friday evening it is Steinbrecker.

Steinbrecker was last seen running north on Cedar Creek toward his home in the Town of Cedarburg. Steinbrecker was wearing a dark green heavy parka jacket, brown pants, a green and gold Packer knit hat, black tennis shoes, and an off white button up shirt, with a black tee-shirt underneath.

Investigators got a call from a resident who says they saw a hat matching the green and gold description of the one Steinbrecker was wearing.

Both dive teams and dogs were used to locate where the body might have been. Police are awaiting a positive identification of the body, but say indications are that it is Steinbrecker.
