Crews battle blaze in Town of Vernon

TOWN OF VERNON-- A house fire in the Town of Vernon has proved to tricky for crews battling the stubborn blaze.

The fire broke out around 1:30 p.m. Monday at a single family residence near Town Line Road and Clearview Lane.

The home owner's daughter told CBS 58 that her father was outside when the fire began.

The road had to be closed down between Clearview and Deerfield as multiple agenices assisted in attacking the fire.

Flames could still be seen coming from the home after 3 p.m.

There have been no injuries.

Crews were trying to figure out how to relocate horses in a nearby barn.
