Concert goers deal with traffic headaches

by Keith Meka

MILWAUKEE - Traffic is backed up for miles on I-94 in Southern Milwaukee County at times Saturday. The interstate is shutdown in both directions so crews can install a storm sewer culvert on I-94. The closures are causing a lot of problems for drivers especially for fans of country star Kenny Chesney who is playing at Miller Park Saturday night. Many fans say they were in standstill traffic not only on I-94 approaching the closures, but on the detour routes as well. The traffic backups began almost immediately when the interstate was shutdown Friday night. Work is expected to be completed Sunday morning and both directions of the interstate will reopen.
