City preps for winter snow storm
MILWAUKEE -- The City of Milwaukee had gone 288 days with no snow, breaking a record set in 1999, but it is all changing this week.
City officials say they've prepped for Thursday's winter storm. There are about 60,000 tons of salt ready for what's to come. Even though trucks do their best to keep the commute safe, it is often motorists who underestimate the conditions. In Waukesha County, Tuesday., there were more than 50 accidents in the afternoon and there were several spin outs and fender benders in Milwaukee County. City officials want to remind drivers to travel at least 50 feet behind salt trucks while they're treating the roads. |
