City of Milwaukee preps for snowMILWAUKEE -- The arctic blast has past, but now the City of Milwaukee is dealing with some snow fall again. The Department of Public Works was ready for Friday morning's snowfall and had salt trucks ready to go. The DPW tells CBS 58 it watches the weather to judge when to send plows out. During Friday morning's commute, about 90 city plow trucks were rolling through busy streets to clear away snow. Crews work on the highest traveled roads first to help make the commute smoother. Sandy Rusch Walton with the Milwaukee Department of Public Works tells CBS 58 Milwaukee County crews take care of the highways, but she cautions everyone to slow down and allow for extra time during snowy weather. |
