Chrome Divas raising money for rider hurt in Harley crash
all ladies rider group

FRANKLIN-You could hear the roar of motorcycles engines outside the Irish Cottage on Ryan Road Thursday evening.

The Chrome Divas, an all ladies motorcycle riding group, gathered to raise money for a fellow member who was hurt badly in a Harley crash.

She's had several surgeries and is looking at lengthy and expensive at home rehab.

"We're hoping with about six months of therapy  she'll be able to come back out and meet with us again," said member Beth Fendryk.

Chrome Divas has chapters all over the world. The Milwaukee Chapter is the only one in Wisconsin.

It's relatively new with about 20 members, 6 divas in training and diva dudes who gather for fundraisers to support the women in their lives.

The group loves to ride. Members call it "wind therapy," but it's also important that they support other women and women issues.

"We're not tough, " Sharon Tabat tells CBS 58 News, "we're very caring."

For the next four Thursdays the Irish Cottage will host the fundraiser. All are welcome. You don't have to be a rider, and guys are welcome as well.

All that's necessary is a sense of fun and support for women supporting women.
