Chicago man arrested in Racine County after police pursuit

A Chicago man who stays in the Racine area was arrested by Mount Pleasant Police after leading them on a car chase and fleeing his vehicle.

Bruce Adams, 32, initially gave the police a false name on a routine traffic stop. When the police tried to find out his actual identity, Adams fled in the vehicle for two miles and then attempted to escape on foot.

He was located in a residence and was arrested. He had two active bench warrants for his arrest in Racine County.

Adams is being held in the Racine County Jail on 14 charges, which include Fleeing and Eluding an Officer and Operating a Motor Vehicle while Intoxicated.
