Celebrating Freedom from HomelessnessShelter Celebrates People It Has Helped While Encouraging Others
MILWAUKEE-"Repairers of the Breach" shelter held its annual labor day picnic and barbeque Monday.
It celebrated those who have emerged from homelessness and offered encouragement to those who are still in the struggle. "Despite the stereotypes that have many people believing that homeless people do not want to work," Director MacCanon Brown told CBS 58 News, "not only are the people here employable, but they have good potential." Stephen Coleman explained it this way, "I just kept coming here which encouraged me to better myself. It was a good place to be." |
