Police investigating suspicious death

TOWN OF YORKVILLE---On Saturday at about 12:30 p.m. the Mt. Pleasant Police Department was dispatched to the Travelodge in the Town of Yorkville.

Police found a woman in her 40's unresponsive at the hotel.

On Sunday police determined the woman was 49-year-old Leigh Walters who moved to the Town of Yorkville six months ago from South Carolina.

Police are saying this death is suspicious.

An autopsy has been scheduled to help in determining the cause of death. The investigation into her death is ongoing.
