Businesses struggling during bridge construction
by Keith Meka

WEST ALLIS - The demolition of the Greenfield Avenue bridge is an inconvenience for drivers, but it's also causing problems for local businesses. Several businesses report a dramatic drop in sales since traffic was shutdown over the bridge on Wednesday. A worker at the Mobil gas station nearby says sometimes it's up to 30 minutes between customers. He also said the attached restaurant shutdown a few months ago after finding out the bridge construction would last until August.
