Repeated Problem With Current Drought Conditions

WEST ALLIS-Yet again a brush fire created a potential hazard on the interstate Wednesday.

It happened shortly after 1 p.m.

Sheriff's Deputies shut down the 94 eastbound ramp to US 45 after some grass caught fire.

They caught on soon enough to help drivers adjust so there were no traffic mishaps as a result.

Last week there was a similar problem in Milwaukee and closer to the Illinois border.

It's not clear how the grass caught fire, but officials say it serves as a reminder not to toss cigarettes out the window.
