BROOKFIELD -- The Brookfield Police Department is investigating a theft and a burglary resulting in the fraudulent use of credit cards owned by victims.

According to police, a wallet was stolen at a Brookfield Pick 'N Save on September 13th between 11:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Credit cards in that wallet were used for two purchases at Target, totaling over $1,700. We're told the suspect tried to use the cards at a local Walmart, Exxon, and Walgreens.

Brookfield police are also seeking burglary suspects who stole credit cards from a Brookfield home. Burglars were able to enter the home through an unlocked patio door. The burglary suspects have been sighted leaving the Walmart at 41st and Greenfield Ave. after using stolen credit cards to purchase steaks.

If you recognize the suspects or have any information on either of these cases, please call Brookfield police at 262-787-3614.
