MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Brewers General Manager Doug Melvin along with the rest of the crew are expecting word about whether Ryan Braun will win or lose his appeal of a drug suspension.

Braun tested positive for synthetic testosterone during last year's playoffs, but reps for the Brewers outfielder suggest there were some circumstances surrounding the results, and he'll win the appeal.

CBS 58 spoke with the director of the exercise science program at Marquette University and she says it's not that far fetched to think Braun might have taken steroids by mistake.

It's possible makers of legal dietary supplements spike products with things like synthetic testosterone said Dr. Paula Papanek. She said the industry as a whole is unregulated and the fact that Braun had a second clean test about two weeks later, raises questions.

The time frame for Major League Baseball to rule on Braun's appeal is 25 days, a benchmark that was hit, Monday. The ruling could come as soon as Tuesday, but until then, it's a waiting game.
