Braun & Rodgers team up to support salon shooting victimsBenefit at 8-Twelve MVP Bar & Grill sold out
Brookfield--Two of Wisconsin's biggest sports stars teamed up to help the victims of last month's mass shootings in Brookfield.
Aaron Rodgers and Ryan Braun sponsored a fund-raiser Monday night at their Brookfield restaurant. "As soon as Aaron heard about the tragedy, he reached out to our restaurant group along with Ryan and said you know, what can we do to give back? And it culminated in this evening tonight." 250 people attended a fund-raiser at the 8-Twelve MVP Bar & Grill in Brookfield. The benefit was sold out in one day, Rodgers and Braun were unable to attend the benefit, but did donate dozens of silent auction items including a pair of Rodgers' playoff game worn cleats, and a Braun autographed MVP bat. 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit the children of the three women who were killed in the shooting spree last month. |
