Bid to reopen Golden Guernsey Dairy Plant

WAUKESHA -- An Ohio-based corporation has made a $5.5 million bid to reopen the Golden Guernsey Dairy Plant.

According to Charlie Stanziale Jr. a trustee of Canton, Ohio-based LEL, LLC he filed an application in U.S. Bankruptcy Court Friday to allow bidding to begin on the reopening of the plant.

The hearing on the bidding process is set to begin this month.

The plant closed suddenly in early January putting hundreds of workers out of a job.
