Get a bargain by buying a house from the City of MilwaukeeMILWAUKEE -- Apparently there's an upside to Milwaukee's foreclosure crisis with historic homes going for pennies on the dollar. The deals are in Milwaukee. Aliza Scott is a first time homeowner. She bought a six bedroom home for $19,000. She made repairs to the home for about $40,000. "99.99 percent of the homes will need repairs," said Karen Taylor with the City of Milwaukee. In 2008, the city had an inventory of about 120 homes. Today there are over 1,000 homes for sale. The cheapest is listed at $6,000. CBS 58's Laura Rodriguez talked with a new homebuyer who took advantage of the deals. CLICK HERE for a list of homes for sale by the City of Milwaukee.
