WAUKESHA -- 31-year-old Jaren Kuester, the man accused of killing three people just south of Madison, appeared for his bail hearing today. A Lafayette County judge set a cash bail of three million dollars.

Three bodies were discovered Sunday morning at a home in Lafayette County. The victims have been identified as 70-year-old Gary Thoreson and his wife 66-year-old Cloe Thoreson, and Gary's brother Dean Thoreson. All three were from rural South Wayne, WI.

Investigators got a tip their suspect might have stolen one of the victim's vehicles and used it to get out of town.

Later in the day, investigators in Waukesha tracked down the vehicle and managed to take the Kuester into custody.

Kuester is expected back in court on May 10th for an initial appearance hearing.
