Badger Guns losing license

by Keith Meka

WEST MILWAUKEE - CBS 58 News has learned exclusively that a controversial gun shop will be leaving the village by the end of the year.

Police Chief Dennis Nasci tells us Badger Guns owner Adam Allan told him he was losing his license and had until the end of the year to sell off his remaining gun stock.

“Everybody knows that they were in the top for crime guns in Milwaukee County and they were in the top percentile of crime guns in the U.S.,” Chief Nasci said.

In fact several Milwaukee Police Officers including Graham Kunisich and Ryan Norberg have filed a federal lawsuit against Badger Guns because they were shot with weapons that were purchased at Bader Guns.

On the phone Monday night Allan would not go into details about his Federal Firearms License but did confirm he'd be out of the South 43rd street location by the end of the year.

Allan did say there would be a new gun shop at the location after he leaves.

Lawful Gun Owner said on Thursday, Nov 17 at 8:52 PM

It's not the gun shop's fault that weapons were purchased illegally, with false documentation - I feel for the cops but, seriously, why're they suing the store? I've owned guns for years...legally purchased and kept under lock and key. When good people have guns, it makes the criminals think twice- and the killings and crime happening with weapons are NOT (in MOST cases) lawfully owned firearms. . they're illegally obtained. If you take guns from the hands of lawful citizens, the criminals will STILL have THEIR guns --because they're illegal! It makes no sense to me. I guess this is what happens when the American people decide to trade their freedoms for security -you get the TSA, gun control and all sorts of rediculous restrictions to everyday 'rights' in the name of 'security'. I'm sick of it, personally.

Punish the criminals and not the lawful gun-owners. Occupy Gunshops!

It has been generally agreed that this ME person appears to be one sick dude and is, of course, a rancid-heeled pillowwarmer.

Instead of 'a walk in the park' in our great state, we now have -- with these demented, republican backed Bills -- a walk down a dark and sinister alley that once was a decent neighborhood.

I understand what you're saying "Me". And, Walker just adds to the problem by allowing MORE of the same on the street. I'm sick of paying because of guns -- you want them you should be paying the bills along with the manufacturers, not me. Go play and kill if you want to, JUST NOT ON MY DIME. Republican's don't understand what's mine is not theirs to throw away. Unfair taxes, laws, bills and corporate welfare shoved down my throat for too long, and now guns in my neighborhood because of republican lawmakers.

Yeah BarBee, killing is a way of life now, everyone is getting use to people we know getting shot and killed or at least becoming a burden of society. You don't know what you're talking about. We need more guns not less. It's either kill or be at risk of someday running into a problem where you may have to kill. It's that simple. If you aren't ready to kill another human being then you have no business going outside your door. I've carried a gun for years and I didn't need no stinkin permit, but thankfully I never had to kill any trouble makers yet. I did shoot a neighbors dog one time and I felt bad, but now at least I know what it will feel like when I do kill some person who deserves killin. Like Flip and Me said, you have to get with the times. Walker knows he needs protection and this is the way to protect yourself, for sure.

This is typical republican mentality, no accountability or responsibility for their actions. Guns are sold, every day, every minute in this country to people who are NOT responsible, plain and simple.

You have to face up to the source of the crimes and make sure the backgrounds of the criminals are kept up to date. If the gun shop's records can withstand a close audit, they shouldn't be shut down. Sue the judges instead.

It's unfortunate they're being blamed for what other people do with their sales. Maybe we can now go after anyone who sells chemistry sets for getting our kids hooked on meth or crack?! Come on, people! Wake up! As much as I respect the MPD for doing thier jobs and literally taking fire, I can't respect them for suing retailers or gun manufacturers. That's like suing Miller Brewing Company because you got a hangover!

When are people going to stop blaming retailers for customer actions. we should just be trying harder to catch the criminals.

This was going to happen when they tried to fight CITY HALL. If you stand up against those in power this is what happens, it's only a matter of time. My son bought several of his guns there, and had on several occasions seen them turn down a sale when they thought it was being bought for someone else. It's a shame our OFFICERS ever get shot, but I've never heard of them suing the store before. This is just some special treatment by our legal system. Good Luck Guys and keep up the ethical sales we've observed.

It's not their fault people commit crimes with guns from there how are they suppose to know what's going to happen after they sale the guns they do all the proper paper work before the guns leave the store now what make you guys think the something won't happen at another gun store this is Milwaukee we have a lot of ignorant people here they'll find away to still do the things they are doing maybe if you guys offer more jobs and give people chances things might change
