MILWAUKEE - A husband and wife were arrested after police discovered large marijuana plants growing in their backyard.

An anonymous tip led the officers to the home near 71st and Capitol Drive last month.

Police confiscated about a dozen marijuana plants between 9 and 10 feet tall. The pot weighs more than 57 pounds.

Police say the couple has been very cooperative during the investigation.

Cops also recovered two loaded handguns from the home.

The husband, a convicted felon, admitted the guns were his. He now faces weapons charges as well.
