Back-to-school consignment sale at Zoofari Conference Center

MILWAUKEE -- The average family spends about $670 on everything kids need to head back to the classroom, including supplies and clothes, according to a recent study.

A local event might help families save money this year.

Divine Cosign expanded its consignment event to a kid's event after five years of hosting events for women.

Organizers say there are thousands of gently-used children's items available at the three-day event, including uniforms, costumes, shoes, hats, outerwear and accessories. Sizes are available from newborn to pre-teen.

Parking is free and there's no admission charge to shop.

The sale runs Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday (half-off day) from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Zoofari Conference Center, located on the east side of the Milwaukee County Zoo entrance.
