Anti milk billboard in dairy state

Peta says it's targeting teens

MILWAUKEE-Trying to convince residents in the dairy state that drinking milk is wrong might seem like an uphill battle.

Then again, Peta is the king of uphill battles.

The animal rights group has put up a billboard near 52nd and Lisbon, just one block from the French Immersion School.

It reads "Got Zits?  Studies show milk and cheese trigger acne.

The group is basing the claim on an article in the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Peta admits the billboard is aimed at influencing teenagers.

"Seems pretty crappy that they're saying we shouldn't be eating milk and cheese in Wisconsin," parent Jerome Redmond told CBS 58 News.

'Milk and cheese as far as I know has always been healthy."

Peta says it hopes to put up additional billboards in Milwaukee.
