Anchor says she was bullied over her weightAnchor's response to e-mail makes national newsLA CROSSE, Wis. - Jennifer Livingston, WKBT News 8 This Morning Anchor, says she was shocked by the cruelty of a letter she received from a viewer, Kenneth W. Krause, about her weight so she took to the air to respond. The letter said in part, "Surely you don't consider yourself a suitable example for this community's young people, girls in particular. Obesity is one of the worst choices a person can make and one of the most dangerous habits to maintain." Livingston's husband Mike Thompson who is also the WKBT 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Anchor, posted the e-mail, which was only sent to Livingston, on his Facebook page and received a flood of support. Livingston acknowledges that she is overweight, but called the letter bullying and said that people with differences, whatever they are should not be intimidated by the few who respond negatively to them |
