Amazing Masterpieces Arrive in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE---Just one day into the exhibit and already it's getting rave reviews at the Milwaukee Art Museum.
"It's the first time it's ever been in the United States," Assistant Curator Catherine Sawinski declared. It is Rembrandt's Portrait of the Artist (ca. 1665), along with some of the works of Anthony van Dyck and Thomas Gainsborough. 48 neo-classical masterpieces in all. "We've been getting great feedback," Sawinski said. "So we're doing very well." The exhibit is called the "Treasures of the Kenwood House" and it runs through January. |
