Wisconsin Humane Society needs public's help to treat Bella

MILWAUKEE-After a horrible accident, Bella the dog is looking for a new life and lots of love.

The three month old Dachshund-Chihuahua puppy had to have her leg amputated after a young child dropped her.

Then, the family couldn't afford the surgery so they turned her over to the Wisconsin Humane Society which is now asking for the public's help to cover the $2,500 in medical expenses.

"She's just a delightful little dog," Angela Speed of the Humane Society tells CBS 58 News, "and we are really grateful to the family for bringing her to us when they couldn't afford the medical care she desperately needed.

Even though Bella looks like she's up and ready to go, she will require more time to recover.

After that, she will be up for adoption through the Wisconsin Humane Society.
