9-1-1 Calls From Fatal Chemical Spill
THERESA-One day after one worker was killed another hurt in a chemical spill, authorities released the 9-1-1- call that came in to report the tragedy.
"I just I have been calling my husband all day," a frantic woman reports, "and I just got over at work and he's laying in a coating room with another guy and I can't get em' out." The woman's husband, 65-year-old Thomas Persha, survived. 55 year-old Roman Torres died. Both men were from Horicon. Investigators say toxic fumes were released when a pail was knocked over and two or three different chemical compounds mixed. The accident took place at "Vivid Image Manufacturing" where they make audio and video recording equipment. |
