73-year-old man shot during armed robbery

MILWAUKEE -- A 73-year-old man was shot during an apparent robbery on Milwaukee's north side just before 3:00 p.m. Police say the man struggled as he was being robbed by an armed suspect near the intersection of N. 33rd St. and W. Galena St.

The 73-year-old man was shot by the armed suspect shortly after he began struggling. The victim was transported to a local hospital where they are determining the extent of the victim's injuries.

Police are working to determine if the 73-year-old man was an employee or customer of the business.
