MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee's Irish population and people who just want to be Irish for the weekend will be living it up in the City's bar district. It's St. Patrick's Day weekend and local law enforcement wants to make sure everyone makes it safely to Monday.

Last weekend, extra police officers were posted on Water Street and North Avenue during the Shamrock Shuffle bar crawl, looking for out of control revelers and drunk drivers.

This weekend, police are expected to do the very same thing.

There are plenty of ways to get home safely. Cabs will be on hand to take those who've had too much to drink, home. Miller Lite is also offering free rides on Milwaukee County buses on St. Patrick's Day.
