MILWAUKEE COUNTY -- The ongoing feud between the Milwaukee County Executive and the Milwaukee County Sheriff comes to a head on Tuesday. This time around, it is over control of the county correctional facility.

The issue at hand involved the planned switch in management at the House of Corrections in Franklin.

The 2013 County Budget would take away Sheriff David Clarke's management power from the facility in Franklin.

County Executive Chris Abele appointed a new superintendent for this change to take place, but the new superintendent, Michael Hafemann, has not been able to work from the facility.

Back in October, Sheriff Clarke issued a statement which said, in part, he would not fight the transfer of management. Clarke has since filed a lawsuit stopping the change.

A county board panel last week recommended ordering Clarke to comply with the change and set a date in July to make the transition official.

On Tuesday, the board of supervisors will hold a special meeting at 1:00 p.m. to address the issue.
