MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee woman is safe Monday morning, after firefighters rescued her from a burning home.

A battalion chief tells CBS 58 they got a call around 4:00 a.m. of a house fire near 40th and Auer.

A woman was trapped on the first floor and crews had to rescue her.

The chief said the woman was unharmed and was not treated for any injuries.

The cause of the fire is unknown, but crews estimate the blaze did $50,000 worth of damage.
