FAA to announce air traffic control towers set to close

MILWAUKEE -- The Federal Aviation Administration is set to announce which airport control towers will close due to sweeping budget cuts.

The FAA issues its final closure list on Monday.

Towers at eight regional airports including Waukesha, Kenosha and Milwaukee's Timmermann Airport will be shut down on April 7th unless talks in Washington head off the automatic federal spending cuts.

The tower at Mitchell International is also scheduled to go dark, but only during the overnight hours.
