UPDATE: Suspect Arrested in Fatal Shooting of Racine Woman

RACINE -- Racine Police confirm an arrest was made for a late night shooting some 500 miles away from the scene.

A person of interest, who was identified early on the investigation, was arrested in Tennessee Thursday afternoon.

44-year-old Lucinda White (pictured above) from Racine was shot several times, at least once in the head, around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday night near 6Th and Villa. White later died at the hospital from her injuries.

Police say they got a suspect vehicle description almost immediately and put out an alert. They say that was instrumental in making the arrest.
