57-year-old mentally disabled Racine man, found dead

 Racine police have called off the search for 57-year-old Ruben Santos after being contacted by a person stating they had located him in a semi-wooded area north of the 5100 block of 21st street.

According to Racine police, Santos was deceased.

This is currently an active death investigation; however, at this point, there is no indication of foul play.

Ruben originally went missing near the group home where he lived on December 22, just one block south of where his body was found.

He was identified as a missing endangered adult because he suffered from a
severe brain injury that affected his mental capacity.

Police are releasing no further information at this time. 

But, investigators are interested in any additional information that the public may have about Santos. You are asked to call the Racine Police Department Investigations Unit at 262-635-7756.
