3 women found in Cleveland gives hope for Alexis Patteson case

MILWAUKEE -- The Alexis Patterson investigation is far from over. The Milwaukee Police Department's Cold Case Unit says they receive tips weekly on Patterson's case.

An anniversary ceremony for Patterson was held just days before three women in Cleveland escaped captivity. Public officials agree the Cleveland case offers hope in the Alexis Patterson case. Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke says, "You see things like that, and it does renew the promise that she could be found alive."

Milwaukee Police Chief Ed Flynn says, "In this business you have to be an optimist. You have to believe that the efforts of your work matter."

Milwaukee Police Cold Case Unit Supervisor Keith Balash says, "It's just one piece of information that we're looking for that's gonna get us the last piece of the puzzle to find Alexis Patterson."
