MILWAUKEE -- The 17-year-old boy shot at Washington Park has been identified as Daniel Gardner. Milwaukee police were dispatched to the violent scene at 2:30 p.m. Monday afternoon. We're told Gardner was in the park with his 18-year-old girlfriend and 2-year-old child.

Police believe the suspect and the shooter knew each other. After learning about the shooting, parents who frequent the park plan to keep a closer watch over their children when they visit the playground.

"That bothers you around this area when you have little kids," said Devail Harper. "I have my daughter.  It makes you be like dang you can't even take your kids to go out and play now."

Police do not have a suspect in custody.
