Local Man Arrested for Stealing "Bodyguard" DVD from Library

A 50-year-old Racine man was charged with stealing a DVD from the Racine Public Library.

According to the criminal complaint, the man allegedly asked a librarian if he could rent the “Bodyguard.”

George Kramer was charged with misdemeanor theft and disorderly conduct.

She allegedly told him he could rent it with a library card or he could use his ID.

The suspect allegedly told her he would watch it on his laptop.

According to the criminal complaint, the librarian noticed the suspect open a beer can.

She advised him that he could not be in the library with a beer.

The suspect walked out of the library with the DVD.

Officers located the suspect on Center Street.

They made contact with him and on a bicycle.

According to the complaint, he allegedly had the DVD with him.                 

The suspect had been found guilty of five OWIs in the past.
