Local Florists Donate Flowers to Nursing Homes for "Make Someone Smile Week"

An organization of local florists took part of a national effort made the day a bit brighter for some nursing home patients.

For "Make Someone Smile Week," the organization delivered flowers residents at Luther Manor.

They were given a "be happy" bouquet a flower in a mug.

"I wanted to make them smile, I came in here with smiley mugs and a little plant to make their day and I was just blown away.  I actually got a little teary eyed because I've never really had that kind of presence.  they had hats on and fun outfits on it just made it so fun and so warm,” said a volunteer.

 Teleflora delivered 2,000 bouquets to nursing homes, v-a hospitals and cancer patients.
