Local Farmers Markets Sprouting up for The Season

 It's the time of year for sunny days, blooming flowers, and local farmers markets popping up everywhere.  The one in Menomonee Falls typically opens earlier than most in the area.

CBS58 paid this location a visit on Wednesday during the lunch hour.  Those we spoke with say they're excited, not just for the nice weather, but for the opportunity to buy local.  Vendors told us they're happy to do the business as well.

There was no produce vendor on hand at least now.  But there should be a presence by the start of June.  However, just about every kind of food was represented not to mention an abundance of flowers.  Pet food and treats were also available. 

This particular market is opened on Wednesdays through October.  And beginning in August, look for it to be opened on Sunday too.  For a complete list of area farmers markets, go to our news links tab on the homepage.
